B.Sc (Hons)
Chemistry

Welcome to the Department of Chemistry at The Bhawanipur Education Society College. The Department of Chemistry was opened in The Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata and affiliated to Calcutta University offering Honours degree course from the very beginning of the college (in the year 1966). The department is full of scholarly faculty and are actively engaged in research. In addition, there are enough sincere faculty members to mentor the large number of students. The department has four laboratories. All of the laboratories are furnished with necessary apparatus, chemicals and instruments. The Department provides its B.Sc. Honours students with a seminar library in which moderate stock of reference books are issued to students as reference.

The Department takes pride in the positive relationships that exist between students and professors. Students also initiate attention by showing spontaneous affection and appreciation for their professors.

State Of The Art
Laboratories
Our laboratories are equipped with the latest technology and equipment to provide students with hands-on experience in applying theoretical knowledge.
These labs serve as spaces for experimentation, discovery, and practical implementation of learned concepts. Students have the opportunity to conduct experiments, collect data, analyze results, and gain a deeper understanding of their field of study. These laboratories create an environment conducive to innovation, problem-solving, and skill development. By bridging the gap between theory and practice, students can develop real-world skills and enhance their learning experience.
