No. of Participants:Eleven (11) students and twelve (12) teacher participants were present from the Physics department of the Science Section of The BES College.
Objective of the event: Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry helps in studying underlying laws of Nature. Though Physics and Mathematics are abstract in nature, it is always possible to design and set up some special kind of experiments which can demonstrate physical laws and their Engineering applications. Birla Industrial and Technological Museum provides many experimental demonstrations on the well-known laws of Physics and Mathematics.
Brief description of the event: Department of Physics in collaboration with Cultural and Educational trip committee Science Section, approved by IQAC, The BES College organised an educational trip to BIRLA INDUSTRIAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL MUSEUM on 10 th May 2025. Students from Physics Department along with Faculties and supportive staff participated in the program. Students enjoyed science project demonstrations and attended 3D shows. They experienced the coal mine ambience from the exhibit of the museum. The high voltage show was extremely interesting and informative. Students learnt a lot and were greatly inspired by the live projects.
Outcome of the event: Under University curriculum it is not possible to explain all the laws through experiments in the College laboratory. From this BITM Tour students were exposed to different hands-on experiments demonstrated there which helped the students to build an insight on the theories they studied. From this Tour students were inspired and got ideas to build their own projects.
Umang 2014 hosted the event ‘Debate’ in which 11 colleges participated. Debate was one of the most interesting events of Umang. The event started at 10:30am in the auditorium. The topic of debate was ‘Struggle is not necessary for success’. The time allotted to each speaker was three minutes and an additional one minute.
These are tough times and all of us find ourselves in dire straits.
