A seminar on “Management Studies in India and Abroad” was conducted at the concept hall on 20th of August’2016. The seminar was attended by eminent personalities of management and marketing area namely Dr.Sarbarisaha (post graduate from Calcutta University and P.G.D.H.R.M from IMT Ghaziabad), Mr. S.N. Mukherjee (chemical engineer from Jadavpur University and P.G.D.M from IIM Calcutta), Mr. Tapas Saha (CFP,CWM,CII,MBA, M.COM), Mr Dipanjan Bhattacharjee (ex – zonal head of Standard Chartered bank),Mr Dipak Pramanik Btech(IIT),PHD (IIH) and founder and chief strategy of Adidas consulting group and Prof.Dilip shah (Dean of the Students Affairs of the college) and over 100 college students.
The seminar started off with an introductory power point presentation that was presented by Dr.Sharbari Saha. This presentation gave everyone a bird’s view of the facts, details, statistics, implementation and scope of management studies. “Understanding domain as well as the practical examples” should be the main motto of the students. This advice was given by Dr.Sharbari Shah. It was followed by a speech delivered by Mr.SN. Mukherjee where he outlined the fact that “Today in India there are many career opportunities and MBA is eminent among them.” The students were further furnished by the marketing and management skills by Mr.Tapas Saha, Mr.Dipanjan Bhattacharjee and Mr.Deepak Pramanik. The discussion gave the students a detailed idea about the facts and various aspects of management studies.
The event ended with the collection of feedback forms from the students.
