The session was conducted by Mr. Gaurav Bajoria, an alumnus of the college who introduced them to the event management domain. Students introduced themselves and shared their motivations for participating in the workshop, displaying their active interest.
Additionally, the various departments involved in event management were introduced and explained. The first half of Day 1 concluded at 1:00 pm, with lunch coupons provided for the day’s break. In the second half, students were divided into 4 teams by Gaurav and tasked with creating an event named Umang, from ideation to implementation, to be presented on Day 2. The teams were categorized as Team 1 (Sem 5 students who volunteered in previous Umang), Team 2 (Sem 3 students who volunteered in previous Umang), Team 3 (Sem 1 students new to Umang), and Team 4 (Sem 3 and 5 students who didn’t volunteer in previous Umang).
On Day 2’s first half, students returned, fully prepared to present their Umang concepts. They spent this time refining and perfecting their presentations. After a lunch break at 1:00 pm, they returned to the Jubilee Hall at 2.30 pm to present their ideas, which were then evaluated.
