“DON’T CELEBRATE MY BIRTHDAY AS A HOLIDAY.. ” these were the words uttered by MOHAN DAS KARAMCHAND GANDHI who is known to us as ‘Father of the Nation’. On the eve of Mahatma Gandhi’s 146th birth anniversary the Enact Collective of Bhawanipur Education Society College decided to give a tribute to the father of the nation by acting out the episodes from his book “HIND SWARAJ”.
A team well led by Mr. Parnab Mukherjee , decided on visiting 12 different cities or rather landmarks where Gandhi had laid his footsteps which would end at the Sabarmati Ashram. The first episode was enacted on the 1st of October 2015 in the Common Room of Bhawanipur Education Society College where they acted out against the evils of today which bought out a whole new dimension making it interesting.
The skit was of about 35 minutes with the inclusion of beautiful classical music played which sparkled the act. This was followed by an audition session which went on for an hour. The Tribute that will end on the banks of Sabarmati River.
Wednesday 17th February 2016 marked the closure session of Commerce Plus – a unique six month diploma programme developed and offered by the BESC. The event was graced by BESC Chairman Sri Champakbhai Doshi, Vice Chairman Sri Mirajbhai Shah, Central Committee member Smt. Naliniben Parekh, and Dean of Students Affairs Prof. Dilip Shah.
On August 25th, 2023, the Department of Commerce (Morning) along with BEST (Bhawanipur Entrepreneurship and Startup Training) collective, organized a visit to the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta. The students left the campus around 8.45 a.m. by bus with 102 students of the B.Com & BBA department, accompanied by the faculty in charge, Mr. …
HOW TO DO WELL IN B.COM A seminar was organised on 29th August at 6th floor, Concept Hall to enlighten students on the Secrets of Preparation, Suggestions & Achieving Success in B.com. This seminar was attended by over 300 students. The student co-ordinator of this seminar was Vinay Gupta.
On 20th October 2016, BESC organised an industrial visit to Skipper Limited, leading manufacturers of PVC pipes. About 40 students of Commerce Plus and YI along with Prof. Vijay Kothari visited the manufacturing unit at Uluberia.
