Football, one of the most widely followed sports across the world, continues to bring people together through its energy, teamwork, and competitive spirit. Carrying this spirit forward, The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised “Futsal Season 2” on the 8th and 9th of April 2026 at the college turf—an intra-college tournament aimed at encouraging participation and celebrating the game.
Over time, futsal at the college has grown into a much-awaited sporting event, providing a platform for players to come together, compete, and enjoy the sport. With a focus on promoting fitness, coordination, and team spirit, the tournament saw active participation from across the college. This year, matches were played with four players per team, with 32 boys’ teams and 4 girls’ teams taking part. Altogether, a total of 175 students participated in the event. It was particularly encouraging to witness the increasing participation of female players, reflecting a more inclusive sporting environment on campus.
The event commenced with a brief address by the Rector and Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dilip Shah, who spoke about the importance of discipline, teamwork, and maintaining the true spirit of the game. This was followed by the organisers explaining the rules and structure of the tournament, ensuring a smooth start to the matches.
The games began soon after, with the boys’ matches conducted in a knockout format, making each fixture intense and high-stakes from the very beginning. The girls’ matches, on the other hand, followed a league format, allowing teams more opportunities to compete.
As the tournament progressed, the turf came alive with energy and determination. The matches were closely contested, with teams displaying strong coordination, quick gameplay, and a high level of competitiveness. At the same time, a consistent sense of sportsmanship and mutual respect was maintained throughout, making the event enjoyable for both players and spectators.
The tournament concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where participants were felicitated by Prof. Dilip Shah, along with Mrs. Minakshi Chaturvedi and Sports Officer Mr. Rupesh Gandhi, marking the end of a successful and engaging sporting event.
