On May 10th, 2023, The NSS unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College organized ‘Aayushmann- 2’ – a Check-up and Seminar Camp at the Valia Hall. The medical technician for the Check-up came from ‘Lions Club of Calcutta Netralaya & Research’ along with their management representative Mr. N K Agarwal. About 150 students did their Check-ups and about 25 students, teaching and non-teaching staff also got their ECG done in the camp.
Complementing the Check-up was a very interactive and informative seminar which was conducted by Dr. Anjan Siotia and Dr. Ravi Kant Saraogi on how to prevent diseases of the heart and Diabetes. The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Dilip Shah, Dean of Students Affairs, who gave an opening speech and felicitated the doctors present. After the seminar, a number of questions were raised by the students which were suitably answered.
The goal of the camp was to create widespread awareness about Cardiac Arrest and Diabetes. The entire initiative was taken in memory of 2 students who passed away due to sudden Cardiac failure. All services were free of cost and the NSS unit of the college is proud to have hosted this programme.
The Bhawanipur Education Society College paid a Tribute to the Legendary Cartoonist and creator of the ‘Common Man’ R.K. Laxman on 13th March 2015 at college campus. R.K.Laxman was one of post-Independence India”s greatest caricaturists.

Antakshari is a spoken parlour game played in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal. Each contestant sings the first verse of a song that begins with the Hindustani consonant on which the previous contestant’s song ends. The first event on the second day of Umang’14 was Antakshari which was held at the main stage.
