The Rotary Sadan in association with the Bhawanipur Education Society College organized a panel discussion on ‘GIVE PEACE A CHANCE’at the Bhawanipur Education Society College , Society Hall experienced something which was undoubtedly, unique and magnificent.There were eminent speakers who spoke on why we should give A CHANCE to PEACE.
The moderator for the evening was Dr. Suman Kumar Mukerjeewho played an excellent role and he also mentioned that peace does not come by choice,it is we who have to bring peace.
Smt. Krishna Bose,the first speaker, spoke about the narrow nationalism and how we have to fight against it and she also spoke about how we should take Humanity as our primary priority.
The second speaker, Ma’am Sadia Dehlvi , eminent journalist and also a Sufi devotee , spoke about the difference between a scissor and a needle, for a needle can mend but a scissor always cuts and she also mentioned that diversity is solely equivalent to divine idea.
Mr.Dinesh Trivedi, the third speaker , spoke about what binds India and how change is permanent and how peace should be prevailed and religion should not be greater than humanity.
Mr. Craig Hall , the US Consul General ,being the fourth speaker , threw light on maintaining global peace and how we should promote understanding,to understand each other.
Ma’am Margaret , she was the fifth speaker of the evening , and she spoke about motherhood and how we should maintain peace and she also said that India is an interactive place.
And , the last speaker of the evening , Mr. Sandip Chatterjee, the founder of Calcutta Debating Circle spoke mainly about how we should hope for peace and how we should believe in positivity and avoid conflict.
Undoubtedly , it was a miraculous Monday evening .
At 5:30pm on Monday the 4th April ’16, at the college turf, about 150 students along with staff members assembled for the opening of BFC Tournament. The evening started with handing over of gift hampers to the staff members in recognition of their services to the college.
