On 8th March, 2022 The Bhawanipur College organised a career counselling workshop for their Bond & Strong female students. The event was organised by CFA institute. Ms Riya Sanchayati came as the special guest who conducted the workshop and was also a promising student from that institution.
The session began around 11 am with Ms. Sanchayati expressing the main reason behind conducting this workshop, to let women understand that along with the constant emotional support it is necessary to be financially independent. Ms. Sanchayati is an alumnus of our college who applied for an internship course at CFA Institute. It is a platform which gives opportunity to women pursuing post-graduation and under-graduation with an internship receiving Rs.20,000 as a stipend for the following. Sharing her story, she said how after 10 months she collaborated with Barclay’s with a salary of 9 lakhs per annum. She also explained the structure of the course and how one can frame answers like on the basis of word limits etc., the next step would be several bootcamps being conducted for four weeks from which students are selected on the basis of their performances and after six months they are given internship courses to the chain cities that is Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad. They will be provided with an internship course with a minimum stipend of Rs.20,000 and gradually it can change based on their performance where they will be able to learn and grow themselves.
The session ended around 12:30pm. Prof. Meenakshi Chaturvedi felicitated Ms. Sanchayati. The session was quite interesting and the ladies got to learn a lot and explore a career field in investments. It couldn’t have been better to have such an inspiring workshop on International Women’s Day.
