Umang 2014: Bollywood and Cricket Quiz
Umang 2014 hosted the event ‘Bollywood and Cricket quiz’ which was judged by Mr. Kaushik Banerjee. The event hosted by Nikunj Kothari was held in Room no. 27. It started at around 10:30 am and continued for the next half an hour.
Though much did not happen in the room but some of the questions were quite interesting, some being – “What was the name of Auro’s disease in Paa?” and “Who was the first player to score a one day international century?” There were twenty-three colleges participating and each team had two members. The results were announced on the spot and six teams qualified to the finals. There was a buzzer round among six teams. The judge was Mr. Rajib Sanyal. The finale was a really interesting session. Manikuntala Das and Md Affanul Haque from Asutosh College gave a remarkable performance. The winners of the event were (pending).
