A Celebration of Excellence, Pride, and New Beginnings “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire — and today, those flames shone brighter than ever.”
The Bhawanipur Education Society College hosted its Graduation Felicitation Ceremony for the Class of 2025 on Friday, 14th November 2025 at the Dhano Dhanya Auditorium, Alipore, marking a day filled with pride, emotion, and celebration as nearly 1,100 students were felicitated for their academic accomplishments.
The day commenced with graduates arriving at 1:30 PM to complete registration and don their ceremonial gowns and Oxford hats. By 3:00 PM, the auditorium was brimming with anticipation as students, parents, faculty, members of the Governing Body, and distinguished guests gathered to witness this milestone moment.
The ceremony began with a dignified procession of the college’s esteemed dignitaries, led by the Chief Guest, Mr. Ashneer Grover, Entrepreneur and Former Managing Director of BharatPe, and the Guest of Honour, Dr. J.K. Das, Dean of PG Studies, Chairman UG Council, and BOS for Commerce & Finance Officer, University of Calcutta. As the timeless anthem “Mind Without Fear” echoed through the hall, the audience rose in respect and admiration. Adding to the grandeur was a mesmerizing classical dance performance by the college’s cultural team, gracefully setting the mood for the evening.
The ceremonial lamp lighting marked the official commencement of the program—symbolizing enlightenment, knowledge, and new beginnings. Dignitaries were honoured with mementoes, including a handcrafted sola murti of Maa Durga, representing strength, grace, and wisdom by Chairman Sri Rajnikant Dani, along with the Vice-Chairman Sri Miraj D Shah, after which the chairman administered a heartfelt and inspiring oath to the graduating batch, urging them to honour the legacy of their alma mater.
The Chief Guest then felicitated the top rank-holders from each department and delivered an impactful, candid address—packed with entrepreneurial insights, humour, and motivation—followed by an engaging Q&A with the students.
The main felicitation ceremony unfolded in a seamlessly coordinated, multi-station format, allowing graduates to receive their certificates in synchronized groups of ten. The first phase was conducted by members of the management, followed by administrative heads, and finally by senior faculty members. Anchored gracefully by Rajnandini and Vedhi, the ceremony reflected meticulous planning, teamwork, and precision by the organizing team.
A heartwarming highlight of the evening was the presence of parents and guardians, whose emotions filled the auditorium. Their pride, smiles, and teary-eyed joy as they watched their children walk the stage created an atmosphere of love and fulfilment. Many parents described it as “a once-in-a-lifetime moment” and “the reward for years of hard work and sacrifice.”
The day concluded with an emotional and symbolic moment as Rector & Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dilip Shah, led the iconic tossing of the Oxford hats—uniting the Class of 2025 in a shared gesture of achievement, joy, and hope for the future.
A day of pride, celebration, and cherished memories—the ceremony beautifully captured the spirit of Bhawanipur and the dreams of its graduating class.
