Objective of the Event
To establish a formal framework for academic cooperation between the Departments of Bengali and History, The Bhawanipur Education Society College and Paschimbanga Itihas Samsad, promoting joint academic activities, research initiatives, and student engagement in historical studies.
Brief Description of the Event
The Bhawanipur Education Society College and Paschimbanga Itihas Samsad formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 18 November 2025. The MoU outlines collaborative academic initiatives, including the organisation of seminars, workshops, symposiums, and publication programmes. It also includes provisions for enhancing historical awareness among students and arranging internship programmes following Calcutta University norms. The agreement ensures confidentiality, respect for intellectual property rights, and a non-financial partnership, with both institutions committing to seek external funding for future collaborative activities.
Outcome of the Event
The signing of the MoU has paved the way for long-term academic cooperation between the two institutions for a period of six years. It has established a formal foundation for joint academic programmes, research initiatives, student internships, and collaborative publications. The partnership strengthens academic networking and opens avenues for enriched scholarly engagement for both faculty and students.
