Objective of the event: Students selected specific topics from their syllabus as well as other areas of contemporary relevance so that they can do self-study, research and present their findings through power point presentation.
Brief description of the event: The Department of Political Science of The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised a Students’ Seminar on HUMAN RIGHTS in room number 534 of the college. Academic papers on diverse topics were presented by the sixth semester students. Prof. Amala Dhandhania and Prof. Debanjana Chakravarti of the Department of Political Science acted as judge for the event. After each presentation, the judges and the teachers of the department shared their observations and valuable suggestions. Sudeshna Jha’s presentation on Surveillance and Censorship: A Case Study of India and China was declared as the Best Paper.
Outcome of the event: The event encouraged and inspired the students to take up more such endeavours in future. It successfully imparted a sense of confidence amongst the pupils.

On the 5th of January 2015 an International Conference on ‘Emerging issues in Global Economy, Commerce and Management: Opportunities and Challenges’ was held in the college auditorium from 9:45 am. The welcome address was given by Prof. Lalit Kr. Joshi, Conference Secretary.
