Objective of the event: To Spread joy and festivity among underprivileged children and provide a sense of belonging and inclusivity to the often-overlooked kids.
Brief description of the event: The NSS Unit of BESC (The Bhawanipur Education Society College) organized a heartwarming Rakshabandhan celebration on August 19, 2024, for the underprivileged children residing at Rashbehari pavement and near Forum Mall. The event aimed to spread joy and festivity among these often-overlooked kids, bringing smiles to their faces and warmth to their hearts. The celebration began with the NSS volunteers tying rakhis to the children’s wrists, symbolizing the bond of protection and love. The kids were overjoyed to receive new rakhis, sweets, chocolates, and juices, which added to the festive atmosphere. The volunteers enthusiastically participated in the event, putting smiles on the children’s faces and making them feel special.
Outcome of the event: More than 30 children celebrated Rakshabandhan with the NSS volunteers.
The Bhawanipur Education Society College under the banner of Yi Bhawanipur Chaupal conducted an industrial visit to Greenply Plywood on the 12th of September. A group of around 38 students visited the factory, accompanied by Prof. Kaushik Chatterjee.
