At 5:30pm on Monday the 4th April ’16, at the college turf, about 150 students along with staff members assembled for the opening of BFC Tournament. The evening started with handing over of gift hampers to the staff members in recognition of their services to the college. Shri Himanshu Buddhadev, a member in the managing committee did the honours. Subsequently, the trophy was unveiled amidst a loud round of applause from the students. Next, team captains from 34 contesting teams were called and handed over a copy of the rules for the tournament and by a draw of lottery their fixtures were finalised. Mr. Shatadru Dutt from High Life sporting company discussed the rules of the tournament and clarified all doubts of the participants. Finally, the tournament was declared open by Prof. Dilip Shah, Dean of student affairs as he drove the football into the goal post. Present on the occasion where Prof. Vijay Kothari, Prof. Divyesh Shah and many others.
Prof. Divyesh Shah who is coordinating the event said that, “working with students energizes me and I am so happy to be a part of this event. I wish that the tournament grows from strength to strength.”
