CAPT, is the examination that is held by ACCA and the global institute organised a felicitation programme especially for the students of the Bhawanipur Education Society College (BESC) – students pursuing ACA who have scored above sixty percent in the examination. All students who had successfully crossed the hurdles of papers F1 and F3 were also felicitated by members of the ACCA team in India.
Prof Dilip Shah, the Dean of Student Affairs of the College explained to the assembled students the efficacies of the programme and how it scores over all comparable accountancy led courses in a world order that is becoming increasingly globalised. CA Priti Modi was more direct in her approach and spelled out the advantages of ACCA over the traditional CA. As a mark of appreciation of the academic achievements of the students, the ACCA team declared their intention of providing deep discounts to BESC students who take up the ACCA course.
The high point of the programme however was the presence of Ashish Sharma – the man who has traversed the nation on foot, to eradicate the menace child beggars. In a moving speech he narrated his experience to the assembled audience and called upon the students to take the pledge to work for an India of tomorrow where no child (forced or habitual) begs on the street and all our children have access to education in schools.
