On 29th January 2026, The Bhawanipur Education Society College hosted “Conscious Cups”, a Conscious Leadership Immersion programme for school leaders, at the Concept Hall. The event was organised by the college in association with AFAIRS Education and Media Pvt. Ltd. The programme aimed to help leaders discover their core values, identify their authentic leadership styles, and realign their approach to lead more consciously and effectively.
During the four-hour session, school owners, principals, vice principals, academic heads, and coordinators gathered to refine their leadership skills and promote progressive, conscious growth within their institutions. The programme was guided by Coach Ritesh Bhatia, a globally trained intuitive coach and among the top 5% worldwide to hold the International Coaching Federation’s (ICF) Master Certified Coach (MCC) designation. He specialises in helping educators and leaders align their inner selves with their leadership and life roles.
Before the programme officially commenced, the guests enjoyed breakfast together, fostering interaction and setting a collaborative tone for the day. The session began with a welcome address by Prof. Urvi Shukla at 10:30 a.m., followed by the inaugural address delivered by Prof. Dilip Shah, Rector and Dean of Student Affairs. In his speech, he highlighted the college’s vibrant academic and extracurricular landscape.
This was followed by a felicitation ceremony honouring Coach Ritesh Bhatia, conducted by Prof. Dilip Shah and Prof. Minakshi Chaturvedi, Vice Principal, Department of Commerce (Morning). The event also included an introduction of Coach Ritesh Bhatia by Mr. Vivek Shukla, CEO of AFAIRS.
The session began with Coach Ritesh inviting participants to reflect on a simple yet impactful question regarding their motivation for attending the programme, fostering self-awareness and openness. Participants were then asked to write a word that described their leadership style—such as respect, empowerment, or acceptance—highlighting their guiding values. This was followed by an open discussion on challenges faced within their institutions, creating a safe space for sharing concerns related to administration, academics, and emotional well-being.
A 30-minute guided meditation helped participants release stress, reconnect with themselves, and refresh their mental and emotional states. Afterwards, participants shared their experiences, expressing a sense of calmness and renewed focus. Coach Ritesh emphasised how meditation supports emotional balance, self-awareness, and conscious decision-making in leadership.
To deepen reflection, participants were asked to think of a favourite character or pet and write five words that resonated with them. This exercise revealed personal traits, emotional connections, and values that influence leadership behaviour. The session concluded with an overview of various leadership styles—directive, participative, people-centred, vision-centred, and adaptive—supported by visual aids. Coach Ritesh guided the leaders in recognising which leadership style best aligned with their values, personalities, and institutional needs.
The four-hour programme concluded with closing remarks by Prof. Dilip Shah, followed by lunch and a short campus tour. The event came to a close with the formal felicitation of all participants of the Conscious Leadership Immersion programme.
