Brief Description: The seminar, held in Room 422 at 11:00 AM, commenced with an introduction by one of the convenors, Ms. Anamika Guha. This was followed by an outstanding presentation by Mr. Krishna Jain, a Semester 5 student of the department. Krishna presented an impressive and innovative application that he had developed after thoroughly studying the issues students commonly face in the college canteen. He identified key challenges – most notably the long waiting times, crowd management, and the absence of a streamlined system for placing and tracking orders. During his presentation, Krishna clearly explained how his solution addresses these problems by offering a more organized, user-friendly, and time-saving process for both students and canteen staff. His ability to break down the problem, propose a practical technological remedy, and demonstrate its real-world usefulness earned him widespread appreciation. The clarity of his explanation, the creativity behind the design, and the strong relevance of the app to everyday campus life made his presentation stand out as an excellent example of how technology can effectively improve institutional operations.
Dr. Suchandra Chakraborty, the coordinator of the Peer-Student Committee was present as well, motivating the students and encouraging them to pursue more such impactful projects.
Outcome: The seminar concluded on a positive and inspiring note. Krishna’s remarkable presentation earned him a certificate and a gift as a token of appreciation for his efforts and contribution.
