The Bhawanipur College organized a six-day mentorship program on 20-21st November, 27-28 November, and 4-5 December for the EcoFor Be-ites on zoom meetings from 4:30 to 6:30 PM.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dilip Sir with the very knowledgeable and experienced Vikash Kandoi and Harshul Daga as the mentors of the workshop.
The program was about business analysis and marketing. The workshop began with a doubt clearing session and how understanding equity is more important before one invests in the stock market with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
The mentors explained all about Stock market, nifty of gold relations, importance of equity, SIPs, IPO, price derivation, and the students were given an assignment on NSE 500 company reports except banks and financial institutions on the first consecutive days. After the explanatory round, there was a brief Q&A session where students cleared their doubts.
The third day began with understanding the fundamental through qualitative and quantitative aspects from the assignment and the discussion continued with the analysis on Mutual funds, EPS, query solving, technical analysis, investment strategies, quotes of Warren Buffet, manipulators in cash flow and its understanding and components of sector analysis.
And the last phase was a detailed discussion about market capitalization, importance of good management, price to earnings ratio, price to sales ratio, identification of different companies based on their data for investment and understanding stocks by P.E. ratio.
The students participated actively in the workshop and were very curious to know about the varied scopes and fields of career through this mode. And the mentors were always ready to help and solve their problems and also discussed the various courses and aspects to excel in this profession.
It was a very interactive session, and the students look forward to more such sessions in the future.
Education does not stop here for be-ites, it goes on to tests and one-to-one mentorship with the mentors. We hope many who went through the mentorship also go on for a successful internship.
