It’s that time of the year in The Bhawanipur Education Society College where the history witnesses the congregation of intellectuals putting their best foot forward where the heightened level of diplomacy is brought out to resolve the conflicting issues of the present times in order to rise and evolve.
“Freedom is hammered out on the anvil of discussion, dissent and debate.”
The deliberation provides a battleground for growth to churn the best out of people through the freedom to raise finger at the prejudiced notions and arrive at a mutually consented outcome.
The event was uncovered by the opening speech of Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dilip Shah on Day 0. The day further progressed to witness a declamation by TenzinTsunde, an activist and an acknowledged writer, who vehemently expressed his feelings regarding the invisibility of Tibetan culture as a state and the atrocities faced by the indigenous population under the captivity of Chinese sub-continent. Further, the event progressed with an emphatic attempt by Shibani Mishra, the speaker for PETA, portraying the necessitous condition of street dogs and suggesting the changes we must make for the relative betterment.
Amidst the encore, the Secretariat of BESC AON’19 was released, therefore, showing us the core members behind the hard labour of the much-awaited success of the event.
Several collaborations were made with institutions such as Amnesty International, Smile Foundation, Cry Foundation, RUMUN etcetera aimed at for providing the best quality of conference on a large scale.
With that, Day 0 came to an end with a message for the audience to strive for what they believe in so as to evolve as they resolve.
Day 1 brought with itself an exuberant mass of crowd gathered for the opening ceremony, a few nervous faces and some rather excited on the other hand. The E.B panel for various committees are as follows:
When it comes to diplomacy and International Relations, we must not forget the ones who carry out the most indispensable role in judicial reform by pointing fingers and playing the role of the eyes of law. The International Press, therefore, provided the legitimate ground for introducing reforms by denouncing the iniquitous action in the pursuit of greater social, economic, and moral stability.
The Executive Board for International Press comprised of:
Rushabh Shah (Editor-in-Chief)
Anmol Ratan (Head of IP)
Nishant Sahoo (Director of Photography)
Day 2 progressed into a battleground with the level of competition rising therefore allowing a certain development in the discussion that would primarily be the deciding factor in the distribution of awards. At the end of Day 2, the smile on the face of everyone led their way into the socials that took place in Jubilee Hall, followed by DJ night.
Day 3 held prime importance being the juncture for all the debate and deliberation to take shape in the final run that would conclude the hard work of the delegates into something more concrete which will decide the fate of delegates for everything they’ve put at stake, the outcome being disclosed in the closing ceremony.
The merit for diplomacy went to the following people in their respective committees:
Lok Sabha- Rajdeep Bhattacharya
Anirudh Bharadia
Rohi Roy
Krishna Pal Singh
As famously quoted, an end signals a new beginning.
AON’19 therefore came to an end but was now the beginning of new memories, friendships, learning and understanding. Amidst the happiness and the cheers of audience, we could hear Vaibhav Sethia making the atmosphere more exuberant and warmer with his insistent rounds of jokes.
Overall, the success could be measured in the smiles of our audience and their expectations being met in three days where innumerable amount of learning and camaraderie was shared.
