Edward Ecceleston, the man who grooms people from ground up, all the way to the sky was in the Bhawanipur Education Society College (BESC) to conduct a two-day workshop to teach the students how best to prune their plumes.
Prof Dilip Shah, the Dean of student affairs of the college welcomed him and introduced the man with more than two decades of experience in grooming – the first male staff to be inducted into the Indian private aviation sector!
The hundred odd students who attended the workshop were a changed lot and were visibly impressed by the way they were exposed to the world of the high priestesses and were thankful to the college for giving them the opportunity.
Edward Ecceleston, repeatedly stressed on the fact that grooming extends far beyond the commonly perceived area of beauty care and naturally lays more stress on ensuring that the recipients of such training develop the right attitudes towards life and are thus equipped with personalities – inner beauty that matches the outward sheen.
A brilliant speaker who was obviously speaking from experience, Edward Ecceleston made the sessions totally interactive, weaving in the audience in an absolutely inclusive discourse. Students rose to the occasion, and shedding their initial hesitations, actively participated, questioning him and revelling at his quips and answers.
Posture, Communication, eye-contact, body language, diction, etiquette, self-representation, confidence, weight management, physical appearance, the need of proper diet and sleep – he left no stones unturned and students were mesmerised, even as the world of perfection opened before them one aspect at a time.
A section of the students was divided into two groups and were led into an impromptu debate on the emergence and ill effects of the social media. Other activities that the speaker took the students through included a session on ways to improve concentration, on ways to manage weight and on pressure points – especially on the ways of using them for attaining peak performance levels.
