In order to maintain social distancing and to keep the student’s productive and to bring their boredom down, the ART IN ME collective of The Bhawanipur Education society College organised an online competition on the topic Quarantine (lockdown). Last day for registration being 9th April 2020 we received seventeen entries with 30+registrations. Each and every art work had amazing concept and the creativity level was at par it was difficult for the judges to decide the winners.
The results were decided by Dr Manjula Hod of fine arts BHU and Mr Anupam Chakroborty of The Bhawanipur Design Academy, considering both the results of the judges on 14th April, the first position was given to Divyansha Jha, CONCEPT- the hands are representing our present status – coexistence of friendship and detachment. It was very well composed and intelligent use of pattern as an element of design.
The second position was given to Soumili Guha CONCEPT-where present situation has been symbolically represented quite aesthetically. Humans are in a confined state, while other creatures in nature are enjoying freedom. Painterly quality in application of colour.
Certificates provided to every participant, along with the prize to all the three winners of the competition. All the selected art works were circulated for showcase.
