Concept Hall July, 2018. They say that the job market is at its nadir. They say that the nation is gloriously failing to provide gainful (forget about being meaningful) employment to the graduates she is churning out by the millions with regular monotony. They say that we are sitting of a time bomb that is ticking away as we fail to reap the rewards of what we one had shouted about from the rooftops – demographic dividend. The Bhawanipur Education Society College chooses to differ, not with verbosity but achievement.
Smiles Prof Dilip Shah, the Dean of Student Affairs of the College. “It is not about the degree that you provide your children with, but the ability that you inculcate in them that makes them industry ready. It is not about academic achievements only, but empowerment with life skills that make one a highly valued recruit. Don’t go by my words, ask the HR people from the Corporate World”.
He, as usual, has a point and the recruiters who had trooped into the campus concurred. “The average BESC student is a go-getter – full of confidence, positivity with ability and willingness to get things done – a killer combination, which makes BESC our perpetually favourite hunting ground for fresh talents” said one. QED.
In the latest round – and BESC keeps conducting such placement drives round the year, such is the demand it has successfully created for its students – as many as nine entities were in campus with a recruitment rooster of a hundred candidates.
Quantum the Leap, Medinova Diagnostics, Pashupati Ispat, Nimbus System, Spped Jet Aviation, JK Advertising, SRS Mobisoft, Learn Train and Lever, Omnifin Solutions – as is evident from the names, the visitors represented the entire gamut – from the core sectors of the economy to medical diagnostics and advertising. So much for a meltdown in the job market.
In all a hundred and one students were selected and provided with offer letters – no mean achievement for Prof Minakshi Chaturvedi who coordinates the placement drive of the college. She is assisted in her crusade by Prof Nidhi Kumari.
