Somebody has said, “Good art inspires; good design motivates.” Well, true it seems. Moople Institute of Animation and Design presented an episode on Visual Communication in the campus of The Bhawanipur College. Similar platforms had been raised in the recent past of the institution as well. No doubt, it favourably dispensed among the audience the prospects of the same.
The session was conducted on 4th April 2022, Monday, 12 noon at Jubilee Hall (6th Floor). In the beginning, words of Steve Jobs were being reiterated in, “Design is not what it just looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.” How design works under the binary digits, was directed to the vested group of pupils who filled the space. It was claimed that visual communication is promulgated through graphic designs which include Logo Design, Business Card, Branding and Advertisement and UI Design. Certain aspects were highlighted such as people’s preference of brand name in their material belongings and how logo has flourished in clearly denoting the name of the brand. Mr. Sumontho Banerjee, the speaker of the event brought web designing into discussion. He delineated the steps of buying a product with the help of layout designing by three steps, namely, search, know about the product and purchase the product. On delivering the requisite phenomena vividly, the event concluded.
Events like these are a primary source of exposure for inquisitive minds and are quite beneficial to them. More such events are looked up for in the future as well.
