Where do ideas come from? What Makes a good Story? Who drives the story? Story to Screenplay what does it take? Why Pursue a Career in Theater or Screenwriting?
On 16th January 2021 at 2:00 pm the Theatre Workshop was conducted for the new batch of students. The theme of the workshop was “Understanding the Grammar of Space & Stage & A Brief Introduction to Script Writing”, the workshop was conducted online on ZOOM. There were around 100 students who attended the meet which included the present enact members.
Prof. Dilip Shah guided the ongoings. The Script writing workshop encompassed interaction between the fresh batch of members and the present members. Videos of our previous Street Plays were shared with them to get them an idea about what is Street Play and about the issues we raise through our plays. Students shared their experiences about scripting and theatre in general. The fresh batch showed inquisitiveness and discussed their queries about script writing and theatre. All in all, the workshop was very synergistic with a lot of discussion about theatre and dramatics. A small task was given to the students of fresh batch to brainstorm about different issues that might be the next theme of our street plays and few of them turned up with ‘Out of the Box’ ideas.
