Objective of the event: i. To understand the shifting global power structures and emerging trends in international relations, ii. to analyze the impact of globalization, technology, and economic interdependence on world politics, iii. to examine the role of emerging powers, non-state actors, and global governance institutions, iv. to discuss the implications of these changes for India’s foreign policy and global positioning and to foster critical thinking, research, and presentation skills among students on global issues
Brief description of the event: The Department of Political Science organized a students’ seminar on “Changing DynamicsofWorld Politics (2015-2025)” on December 2, 2025. The seminar provided a platform for students of Semester 5 to present their research papers and engage in discussions on the topic. Total 11 papers were presented. Students presented their research papers on various aspects of the topic like Brexit, Palestine Crisis, Nepal and Bangladesh Crisis, SriLankan turmoil, Iran Nuclear Deal, Indian Laws on Terrorism. The seminar sparked lively discussions and debates among the students, with participants engaging in thoughtful exchanges and sharing their perspectives on the topic. The seminar showcased the research skills of the students, who demonstrated a good understanding of the topic and presented their findings in a clear and concise manner.
Outcome of the event: The students’ seminar was a successful event that provided a platform for students to showcase their research skills and engage in discussions on a topic of contemporary relevance. The Department of Political Science plans to organize more such events in the future to encourage student participation and research.
