With more than 4 lakh Chartered Accountants in this country, The Bhawanipur Education Society College jointly organized a seminar on “Nuggets for Professional Success” with the ICAI Board of Studies (Academy) to provide aspiring CA students with nuggets on how to achieve success in life. The event was hosted by the Eastern India Regional Council of ICAI. The seminar was held in two sessions wherein both the first and second halves consisted of panel discussions. The event took place on the 9th of January 2024 in the Jubilee Hall of the college, beginning at 10:30 AM and concluding at 4:30 PM.
The inauguration ceremony of the seminar was initiated by Prof. Vivek P Patwari, the anchor who acknowledged the presence of CA Arijeet Chakravorty, Rector and Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dilip Shah, Dr. Anupa Ghosh, from IQAC of The BESC, Prof. Minakshi Chaturvedi, Co-ordinator B.Com (Morning), CA Sanjeev Sanghi, CA Rohit Agarwal, Prof. Darshana Trivedi, Dr. Vasundhara Mishra, along with several professors of Commerce department. More than 200 students from commerce backgrounds were also present at this seminar as the audience. After the inauguration ceremony, the event commenced with the opening speech of Prof. Dilip Shah, who highlighted how any opportunity can be used to a person’s benefit through skills like leadership and entrepreneurship. He also provided students with real-life examples of people who lead their lives and gain success through multitasking and keeping up with the digital world. He talked about how CA Arijit Chakravorty completes all his assignments through a digital medium while being a black belt, a pilot, and a CA all at the same time; and also, how CA Sanjeev Sanghi operates an office where up to 75 people work. While ending his speech, Prof. Shah finally mentioned how imperative it is for everyone living in this age to be updated with the future trends and a constantly evolving digital world.
CA Sanjeev Sanghi, Chairman of EIRC presented his speech where he spoke on several key points for the topic in discussion. Sharing his thoughts on the topic, he said that success is not a delicious delicacy, but a continuous struggle for greatness. Black Belt, Pilot, and CA Arijit Chakravarty discussed through a PowerPoint presentation, how economically developed India would be in the year 2047 and the role E-Commerce would play in the future. In her Keynote speech, Dr. Anupa Ghosh advised the students to focus on themselves to gain success, that being dynamic and staying updated, getting out of your comfort zone to work hard, being educated and well versed with the ways of the world will also act as the steppingstones in the path to success.
The seminar ended with Mr. Bulbul Shah from the Management committee felicitating the esteemed guests and it concluded the first session of the seminar. After a short lunch break, the second half commenced with the first speaker, CA Rohit Agarwal, who spoke about the integration of technology in the field of commerce education. Prof. Dilip Shah once again returned to the dais to speak in detail about honing entrepreneurship and leadership skills in students. CA Arijit Chakravarty shared the details regarding the journey of the development of ‘Professionals 2047’ and gave a glimpse of the future of India. Towards the end, Prof. Minakshi Chaturvedi thanked all the guest speakers for their enlightening insights and their presence in the college.
