The Bengali Department of The Bhawanipur Education Society College celebrated the 155th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore with a cultural programme on Saturday 14 May, 2016 from 10.30 am till 2pm at the 6th Floor College Auditorium. The programme turned out to be a huge success. The ball was set rolling by the opening song sung by Toolip, a student of BBA department of our college. It was followed by the play-reading of Tagore’s Raktakarabi by the faculty members of the various departments of our college, whose performance was remarkable. The programme was further carried forward by the enthralling dance performances by Baisakhi Chakraborty (Faculty member, Commerce) and Souraja Tagore (Faculty member, English) on Rabindrasangeet. The final performance was by the famous singer Mr. Kallol Ghosal who presented a bouquet of Tagore songs.
Hosting an event on one of the most relevant facets of the virtual economy, “The Blockchain Technology and Its Relevance” was discussed by our esteemed speakers. The Bhawanipur Education Society College held its first ever orientation Programme on on Model united Nations on the 1st July,2015, an educational simulation in which students learn about diplomacy, international relations, parliamentary proceedings, enhance their ability to research and develop the art of public speaking.
