On 23rd December the Quizzard collective of the Bhawanipur College organised a general quiz competition for the Be-ites. The quiz master Mr. Ashok Sanyal who has been conducting several quiz shows conducted the event.
The program commenced around 11:30 am with an enlightening speech by Prof. Dilip Shah.
There were around 40 students who took part in the competition. The quiz competition was divided into two rounds that is preliminary and the final round. For the preliminary round the participants were divided into teams of two, there were 20 teams , and were asked around 26 written questions that were presented on the projector and on the basis of maximum number of correct answers they were judged to qualify for the final round.
For the final round 8 teams were selected and Mr. Ashok Sanyal, himself conducted the second round. He asked some intriguing questions and interacted with the participants.
The event came to an end at 3pm. And the decision was made by the judge. The Winners were: 1st- Zafaryab Shibli and Rishav Nayak 2nd- Aditya Prakash and Sumit shaw
They were awarded with the prizes and all the participants were given certificate of participation.
Mr. Sanyal was felicitated by Prof. Meenakshi Chaturvedi. The entire Quizz was fun filled and challenged the wit of the participants.
What do we do first after waking up in the morning? We “Read” the newspapers but do we really read it effectively? Most of us don’t. A Session was thus organized, to help us make the best use of the newspaper, as they are more informative than the internet.
