The Department of Computer Science of The Bhawanipur Education Society College organized a highly informative One-day Seminar on Cyber Security in collaboration with DataSpace Academy. The esteemed speaker, Mr. Soumya Jas, Senior Cyber-Security Analyst, from DataSpace Academy provided an in-depth understanding of the critical domain of cyber security to the attendees.
The seminar commenced with the speaker introducing the theoretical concepts underpinning cyber security. They elucidated the roles and responsibilities of a white hat tester, an ethical hacker who identifies vulnerabilities in computer systems to fortify security measures. The speaker demonstrated how malicious hackers exploit network vulnerabilities, showcasing real-world examples to enhance the participants’ comprehension.
Furthermore, the speaker conducted a hands-on session, familiarizing the attendees with the potent Kali-Linux operating system, a versatile platform specifically designed for penetration testing and security auditing.
