The Assembly of Nations collective organized an all-round Model United Nations workshop on 26th May, 2022. Students were explained what an MUN is. They were sensitized about the benefits of taking part in an MUN conference. The workshop started with an introduction round of all the applicants as well as the moderators of the workshop, fellow students of AON collective who have individually 4+ years of MUN experience. One of the most important facets of MUN – rules of procedure was explained in great detail. Next, the participants were allotted individual countries and a mock MUN simulation was held, with every single participant giving a speech on the agenda which was “Russia’s military campaign in Eastern Europe”. The moderators themselves took part in the debate to give the participants a glimpse of the level of debate by a proper MUN. Researching basics and the concept of Foreign policy was discussed right before the simulation to help the participants apply their newly gained knowledge practically. The final module of the workshop was on Indian committees which shed light on the different kinds of Indian committees which are simulated.
