Summary of the event
On the 25th June, 2022, Saturday, Students and Faculty Members of all the Departments of The Bhawanipur Education Society College gathered at Concept Hall at 10:30 AM. The event was organized by Seminar/FDP/Workshop Committee, Science Section, The Bhawanipur Education Society College associated with the Department of Computer Science, The Bhawanipur Education Society College, in Collaboration with IQAC, The Bhawanipur Education Society College. The topic of the talk session was Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). In the first session, Prof. Kashinath Dey, Retired Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Calcutta delivered the basic concepts, scope, history, applications of AI. He also introduced the concept of Natural Language Processing (NLP) as well as other overlapping concepts of AI. The first session ended around 1:45 PM. After a break of 30 minutes, the second session began around 2:15 PM. Another speaker, Mr. Pickon Majumdar, Software Application Engineer, ELMAX Systems and Solutions, showed some real-life applications of machine learning. He used MATLAB software to show these real-life applications. The concept of classification, regression, computer vision related problems were also explained by him. Finally the talk session successfully ended at around 4:30 PM.
On 19th April 2022, the Department of Education and the Department of Political Science jointly organized a students’ seminar on “Implementation of National Education Policy, 2020 to transform Higher Education in India”.
