It has been said that “accounting is the language of business.” Digital accounting refers to the formation, representation and transmission of financial data in an electronic format. Technology advancements have enhanced the accountant’s ability to interpret and report data faster, more efficiently and more effectively than ever before. The greatest benefits of the digital age to productivity can be organized into four main categories. They are E-Business, Cloud Computing, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems and Digital Technology Advancements. To ignite keen interest among the students and with the motive of opening the casement of exploring the world The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised a workshop from 16th September to 20th September, 2019 at the Society Hall from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The speaker who was invited to elucidate the topic was Sanjib Sanghi. He adorns a number of roles. First of all he is a digital transformation evangelist, motivator, speaker, author, Chartered Accountant (with 12 years experience in International Fin Tech Industry), career counsellor and a passionate trainer on Excel, QuickBooks Online. How technology plays a pivotal role in our life both in personal & professional arena was something he highlighted about. He primarily talked about the different new technologies that are coming into existence and how it performs. In addition to this he also shared his knowledge about the various new things that technology has to offer the modern world.
Around 50 students from both B.Com & B.sc Departments attended these five days’ workshop which they found to be immensely interesting. The ambience had calmness around where students were enthusiastic to learn new things. This interactive session ended with much fun and frolic where information was abundant and activities were fascinating. The students seemed to be keen to attend such workshops more in near future.
