The college participated in an Inter-College Fest Quest 2014 organised by an eminent institute of the city. Students enthusiastically prepared themselves and put their best foot forward in the maximum number of the events. The fest was organised by the Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration. The name of their fest was Quest 2014. The students participated in both on-stage and off-stage events namely- Dance (Eastern Solo and Duet), Fashion Show, T-shirt Painting, Treasure Hunt, Quiz, Debate, Creative Writing, Antakshari, Tattoo Art, Singing (Eastern Solo and Duet), Mehendi Art, Live Reporting, Business Plan, Dhunuchi Naach and Non-Fire Cooking. All the hard work they put in during the preparations reaped fruits on the days of the events.
Our students came 1st in the following events:
Treasure hunt
Fashion show
They secured 2nd position in singing solo (Shilpi Singh) duet (Shilpi Singh and Sabiha Mahmood).
They secured 3rd position in Quiz and Business Plan.
The Prizes given to the participants were certificates for each participant who got a podium place.
The whole event was divided into 3 days, 21st, 22nd & 23rd September 2014. Our college had provided us with transportation and food for the participants for all the three days. The rules and regulations were explained in the Representatives’ meeting held earlier. The college had kept a strict one college-one team policy, where every college could bring up only one team per event. As their college had different departments within them they had allowed multiple entries within their college. They were very supportive to our college representatives for helping out our participants. They also had a guest performance by Mr. Jojo Khan. The event was handled very carefully without any mishaps taking place. Participating in this inter college fest gave them an opportunity for positive exposure and to help them be comfortable in an outside environment.
