The Bhawanipur Education Society College in collaboration with IIT Kharagpur and NSHM Knowledge Campus organized Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive (EAD) on 11th October, 2023 from 2:00 pm. to 7:00 pm. at Dhono Dhanyo Auditorium, Kolkata. The event started with a magnificent inaugural ceremony which included inviting the guests on to the dice and lighting of the lamp done by Prof. Soujanya Pudi, Professor and Head CLC, NSHM, and Prof. Nabaneeta Dutta, Assistant Professor, NSHM Business School. The inaugural ceremony also included an inaugural song and the felicitation of the guests. This was followed by a Welcome Address by Mr. Cecil Antony, Chief Mentor, NSHM Knowledge Campus. Continuing this, Prof. Dilip Shah, Rector and dean of Student affairs, The Bhawanipur Education Society College enlightened young minds with the importance of EAD-2023. Dr. Soumendra Nath Bandyopadhyay, Professor and In-Charge of TAG Re-Launched TAG, and this was followed by an Alumni Speech by Mr. Tamal Saha, Journalist, NTT.
The aim of any Panel Discussion is always progress and The Panel Discussion Topic for the day was “The Entrepreneurial Ecosystem: Roles of Tech, Media and Business Leaders.” There were three Panelists for the day, namely, Mr. Sandip Ghose, MD and CEO, MP Birla, Mr. Sandipan Chattopadhyay, Ex-CTO, JustDial and Mr. Samarjit Choudhury, Business Head, ABP. The Moderator for the discussion was Mr. Rahul Basak, Co-founder and CEO at Amar Canvas. There was a Fireside Chat on the topic, “Deepit’s Journey of Inshorts: The Making of India’s Largest Social Company.” The Speaker for this chat was Mr. Deepit Purakaystha, Co-founder and CSO, Inshorts. Mr. Rahul Basak, Co-founder and CEO at Amar Canvas was the Moderator. Well, knowledge always gives us power, and therefore a Quiz was held by the Associate Members of E-Cell IIT Kharagpur, Mr.Arman Barik and Mr. Piyush Agarwal. To make the event even more insightful, a workshop was held on “From Idea to Investment: Navigating Entrepreneurial Finance”, the speaker being Mr. Nishant Mohta, Founder and CEO, Finlatics. This series of events followed a High Tea Break.
The Keynote Session Topic was “The Life of an Entrepreneur” with the Speaker Mr. Prafull Billore, Founder MBA Chaiwala. The event also had an Introduction of E-Cell Initiative by Mr.Arman Barik, Piyush Agarwal, Associate Members of E-Cell IIT Kharagpur. The event successfully ended with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Subir Sen, Principal, NSHM Business School, and a cultural event by NSHM Cultural Team.
MODEL UNITED NATIONS also popularly known as MUN had its inaugural session on the 17th on August 2015, which was attended by about 60 students.
