One of the most common characteristics of some of the most notable people in the history of human race, is how beautifully they all embraced their individuality rather than trying to replicate some other individual and ending up becoming their mere illusion. In today’s generation, where social media trends have taken over the world by a storm, this is one of the most essential lessons to learn for the ones standing on the threshold of adulthood and wanting to make a mark.
In the light of this, The Bhawanipur Education Society College conducted a workshop on 2nd March, 2020 on how one must prepare themselves for Group Discussions and Personal Interviews (GD/PI) for the Placement Drive to be held on 6th March, 2020.
The masterclass was taken by the quintessential career coach, Prof. Jaishankar Gopalan. The workshop was kick-started by a brief speech on hard work and success by the Dean of the college, Prof. Dilip Shah. Shortly afterwards, Prof. Gopalan began the workshop by speaking about the importance of originality and gave some useful tips on how to prepare effective resume. He groomed the students for the GD/PI of some renowned companies coming for campus recruitment. Right from acknowledging the students about the little things to keep in mind while appearing for an interview, to encouraging them to be confident and subtle in front of the interviewer, the workshop answered all the questions related to interviews and resumes arising in the minds of the students. The workshop started at 10.30 am sharp and continued till 12.00 pm and was attended by more than 80 students, making it a success.
