Objective of the activity: The programme was organised to extend a helping hand to the underprivileged women on March 7, 2026 to observe International Women’s Day.
Brief description of the activity: The objective of the programme was to spread awareness about women’s health and hygiene, and to remove the social hesitation associated with the issues. The programme was primarily intended to support disadvantaged women in our society. The students and volunteers of the NSS Unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College actively participated and shared important information on physical and mental health, including nutrition, menstrual hygiene, hydration, exercise, and overall well-being for women. Approximately 50 women joined the programme. Women showed great enthusiasm during the quiz session conducted by the students. At the end of the programme, the Women’s Cell distributed sanitary napkins among the participants. The programme concluded successfully.
Outcome of the activity: The program provided a platform for discussions, interactions, and awareness regarding women’s health, both physical and mental well-being, rights and achievements. Faculty members, students, and guests participated actively, making the event a meaningful tribute to women’s strength and contributions.
The corridor leading to the auditorium was tastefully decorated with alphabet boxes that could be arranged into words – a giant scrabble walk way, if you may.
