On Saturday, 10 January 2026, the Hindi Department organized a seminar on the occasion of the birth centenary year of Mohan Rakesh. The theme of the seminar was “The Literature of Mohan Rakesh.” On this occasion, Dr. Kavita Mehrotra, Head of the Hindi Department, presented her research-based views on the plays of Mohan Rakesh. Dr. Abha Jha shared her critical perspectives based on the short stories of Mohan Rakesh, while Dr. Shraddha Singh presented her paper focusing on his novels.
Students of Semester 5 also expressed their views on the literature of Mohan Rakesh during the programme. Overall, the programme was academically successful and highly useful.
