On 13th August 2025, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M., a seminar on “Content Creation and Blogging” was held at the Jubilee Hall of The Bhawanipur Education Society College. The seminar was conducted by Prof. Champa Srinivasan, a faculty member of the college, and served as an introduction to the Content Creation and Blogging classes that she will soon begin under the Career Connect Courses run by BESC. The seminar was also attended by the Rector and Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dilip Shah, and the Vice-Principal, Department of Commerce (Morning), Prof. Minakshi Chaturvedi.
Prof. Srinivasan began the session by highlighting how we live in an age where people love blogging, creating content, and sharing live updates with photographs—the constant desire being to stay visible and noticed. She underlined the importance of being a good communicator to gain recognition. While a huge volume of content is uploaded online every day, not all of it attracts attention or followers; it is the way of presenting that makes the difference.
She further elaborated on the significance of blogging and, in her words, “Blogging is not outdated; instead, it is a unique way of presenting ideas on social media. It allows deeper exploration of topics and is much like storytelling, where we can freely express our opinions on anything we want.” According to her, blogs can be a powerful medium to share thoughts, inspire others, and even influence future generations. She also discussed how mainstream media and news channels are sometimes paid to project certain opinions, whereas blogs offer independent perspectives. She stressed that content must always be meaningful and well-presented—something people can either learn from or relate to.
Towards the end, she gave an overview of the upcoming 15-day course. Topics will include an understanding of content creation and its formats, developing the right mindset for content creators, the continuing relevance of blogging for personal expression, professional growth, and business, generating income through content, identifying one’s niche and strengths, creative writing techniques, audience mapping, and the basics of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Assignments will be part of every class, and a group will be created to share schedules and updates. To inspire students, she also shared her personal journey of writing blogs and later compiling them into a book.
The seminar proved to be highly informative, offering a clear idea of how content creation and blogging function and how they can be powerful tools for growth and self-expression.
