“A good teacher can inspire, create hope, ignite imagination and instil a love for learning; all while juggling flaming torches.”
The teachers of The Bhawanipur Education Society College are no less. Hence, as always, the students took the initiative to appreciate their hard work and express gratitude for their role in shaping their futures by celebrating Teacher’s Day. Due to the upcoming University examinations, the Teacher’s Day Celebration was planned for September 2nd, 2024, in the Jubilee Hall of the college campus, conducted in two slots throughout the day. Students and faculty alike witnessed mesmerising performances by the Collectives — Flames, Enact, Crescendo, and Fashionista — that left everyone in awe.
To make this occasion unforgettable, each teacher was presented with a small pouch filled with chocolates and toffees such as Kachha Mango Bite, Polo, Mentos, and more — a nostalgic trip down memory lane that brought out the inner child in every teacher. As the teachers entered the Jubilee Hall, they accepted these tokens of love from the students and settled in, looking forward to a delightful celebration.
Beginning with the morning slot at 9:30 A.M., the day featured a series of performances, starting with an Eastern classical dance that reflected the grandeur of Indian culture, followed by the Western and Bollywood dance teams, who had the audience grooving along. The Fashionista team entertained with a captivating ramp walk themed around ancient Indian royalty. Following that, the college’s expressive Enact team performed a moving act centered on the dynamic relationship between teachers and students, successfully evoking a range of emotions in the audience.
Team Aarohan performed in the first slot, while Team Antarjaal performed in the second, adding variety and depth to the event. Finally, Team Crescendo delivered a soothing and soulful musical performance, giving the day a blissful conclusion. The smiles on the teachers’ faces throughout the performances warmed the hearts of the student volunteers.
To add a touch of glamour, the Art in Me team channelled their creativity into setting up a photo booth for both students and teachers, allowing them to turn these special moments into lasting memories. The morning ceremony concluded around 11:30 A.M., with a cheerful group of teachers making their way out of the Jubilee Hall.
Similarly, the evening celebrations, dedicated to teachers from several departments of BESC, began at 3:00 P.M. and concluded at 5:00 P.M. with the same set of performances. The students showcased them once again — with as much energy, emotion, and enthusiasm as they had in the morning.
