On September 23, 2024, the Department of Commerce (Morning) at BESC, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully hosted a seminar titled “Orientation to Leadership Lesson.” The event took place at the Jubilee Hall on the 6th floor, commencing at 10:30 AM.
The seminar aimed to provide students with essential insights into effective leadership principles and practices in the contemporary business environment. The session opened with a warm welcome from Dr. Sreyasi Ghosh, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, who emphasized the importance of leadership skills in today’s competitive landscape.
Followed by the lighting of the lamp ceremony, led by Prof. Minakshi Chaturvedi, Co-ordinator of the Department of Commerce (Morning), alongside the team of faculty members, symbolizes the illumination of knowledge and the beginning of new endeavors.
Muftah Ahsan Ahsan Siqqidi, a seasoned expert from Teamease, led the session. His engaging presentation covered several key aspects of leadership, including:
• Understanding Leadership Styles: Siqqidi elaborated on various leadership styles and their applicability in different organizational contexts.
• Effective Communication: He highlighted the significance of clear communication in fostering team collaboration and achieving goals.
