The Bhawanipur Education Society College, in collaboration with IMI (International Management Institute) Kolkata organized two masterclasses with two renowned speakers from IMI. Founded & established by RP- Sanjiv Goenka in 2010 to enable bright young minds to gain access to world-class management, IMI has been instrumental in preparing young minds for the world of management. The event was held in the Placement Hall & started at 11:30 am with the first topic for the day, which was “’Strategic Disruption: Navigating Business Transformation in the Digital Era’” by the Guest lecturer, Dr. Gobinda Roy, Professor at IMI Kolkata and Chairperson of social media and branding website. Accompanying him was Ms. Karabi the Head of the Admissions department and Mr. Indranil, Assistant Admission head of IMI. The first one-hour session was filled with quirky Q&A rounds where every right answer was rewarded with a chocolate. There were also discussions on a variety of viral content on social media and the most talked about technology today, Chat GPT.
After the first lecture ended, the event continued with the second topic for the day that was “Today Insights on Marketing, Customer Relationship Management and Brand Management”, starting at 12:30 PM with the second guest lecturer, Dr. Rituparna Basu, a faculty at IMI Kolkata and Area Chair in Marketing. The lecture highlighted various marketing strategies of several brands and ended with a fun recall game. With a count of more than 50 attendees receiving E-Certificates for their participation in the Masterclass, the event concluded with the felicitation of guests by Prof. Minakshi Chaturvedi, Coordinator B.com (Morning).
