The Bhawanipur Education Society College, Department of Games and Sports, soared to new heights at the Calcutta University Inter-Collegiate Kabaddi Championship 2023-24, held on September 22-23, 2023. This two-day spectacle showcased the finest talent in collegiate kabaddi, with 19 teams vying for glory.
Match Results: Our first kabaddi match of the tournament was a resounding success as we faced Lalbaba College. The Bhawanipur College Kabaddi Team dominated the game with a remarkable score of 64-8.
In our second match against Sundarban Maha College, our team continued their stellar performance, securing another victory with a score of 61-11.
The Quarter-finals clash saw us pitted against Shyampur S. Maha College, where our team triumphed with a score of 41-8.
The semi-finals witnessed an intense battle between The Bhawanipur Education Society College and Vidyanagar College. Our team’s relentless efforts paid off, and we emerged victorious with a final score of 62-20.
Epic Finals:
The much-anticipated finals unfolded as The Bhawanipur College faced off against Raidighi College. This epic showdown will be etched in the annals of the Calcutta University Kabaddi Tournament as one of the fiercest contests ever witnessed.
The first half of the final ended with The Bhawanipur College leading by a substantial 14-point margin at 29-15. Despite Raidighi College’s commendable efforts in the second half, they couldn’t match The Bhawanipur College’s all-round prowess. The final score stood at 56-38 in favor of The Bhawanipur College, sealing our victory.
The Bhawanipur Men’s Kabaddi Team displayed unparalleled dominance throughout the tournament, securing victory in every game with ease. The final, however, added a thrilling dimension to our journey.

The topic of debate was ‘Struggle is not necessary for success’. The time allotted to each speaker was three minutes and an additional one minute.
