On the 28th of August, a seminar was held at the Golden Jubilee Hall on ‘Touching the Customer’s Mind’, at the Bhawanipur Education Society College. Students from all three years, as well as all the professors of the BBA department came to attend the event, as the subject was something that everything could learn a thing or two from.
The first speaker was Mr. Samindra Roy, who gave a presentation on marketing and the various methods that are available to us in today’s day and age, with social media being relevant now more than ever. He also talked about the tactics that commercials use to gain a customer’s attention to a product, and showed the audience a few examples in the form of television advertisements. Alongside these, he also presented a few case studies, such as the Aashirwad Atta case.
The second speaker for the day was Mr.Venkat Subramaniam, one of Dr. Suman Kumar Mukherjee’s former students, and someone with a wide range of experience in the corporate world. He provided a great deal of information about being insightful, in today’s world and to be open to new things. His lecture was more of a series of anecdotes on various parts of marketing and business.
Overall, the seminar was a huge success, with huge audience to back for it. It was a great and erudite session for all of us as it provided an insight on how to attract as well as the various strategies involved in how to draw a customer’s attention towards a particular product.
