Placement Hall. March 19th & 20th, 2019. The one area that witnesses the maximum amount of flux is undoubtedly marketing. What is more, in these days of constant innovation and expanding horizons, the ways in which businesses are approaching this core area is evolving by the minute, making it perhaps one of the most exciting fields to work in. Naturally, the number of students who are keen to jump into the fray and partake the nectar that marketing has to offer is also rising exponentially. And, as is expected from the Bhawanipur Education Society College (BESC), what students desire in the pursuit of knowledge and empowerment, is provided. This two-day seminar, dealing with the basics of management, was a part of this larger effort.
Sanjukta Mukherjee, Founder of Sustainable Design Research Consortium and Director of Optimum Solutions Consulting, is a practitioner – a trainer who is highly sought after by entities seeking to hone in their marketing efforts. Her reputation precedes her and the hundred students primarily from the BA and BCom sections of the college who had crowded the auditorium to hear her speech and gather vignettes from her discourse were an example. That they were not disappointed, was also a vindication of the lengths to which BESC goes to ensure that the best interaction opportunities are provided to the students so that they may learn the ropes as it were from those who are actively engaged in expanding the horizons of their respective domains.
Prof Dilip Shah, the Dean of Student Affairs of the BESC welcomed the speaker on behalf of the college, introduced her to the audience and spelled out the key takeaways that the attending students should strive to learn from the seminar.
The speaker then took the podium and speaking from knowledge that was heightened by actual hands-on experience she laid bare the intricacies of marketing and provided the students with a ringside view into her domain of expertise. He also dwelled on extensively on the Blue and Red Ocean strategies that are a key constituent of marketing efforts. The formal discourse was followed by a highly enlightening interactive session.
