Ethical hacking and ethical hacker are terms used to describe “hacking” performed by a company or an individual to help identify potential threats on a company or network. An Ethical Hacker attempts to bypass way past their security system and search for any weak points that could be exploited by malicious hackers.
And there the difference between HACKING and ETHICAL HACKING was taught to the students by Mr. Sourav Karmakar , during the course of a 5 day ethical hacking workshop
Mr. Sourav Karmakar started teaching the students with the basics of ethical hacking and various kinds of hackers. On the first day students were told the steps of ethical hacking. By the end of the first day of workshop a demonstration was shown on how to hack a Facebook account.
From Mr. Sourav Karmakar students came to know how to use “Google” in a proper way so that one exactly gets the results and information needed. Students learned that how to protect important files and system form being hacked.
The excitement and curiosity of the students had been very high and increasing with every passing day. Along with protection, students were also taught how to create virus and how to the crack password of the system.
Students had been taught about e-commerce and that how to crack into other websites.
On the fourth and the fifth day students were taught- e-mail spoofing, call spoofing, SMS spoofing.
The students were told how to avoid and inspect the free software which have virus bound in them.
The workshop turned to be a success with the overwhelming response of students.
The Bhawanipur Education Society College took the initiative of taking its college students to a literary meet at Victoria Memorial on 23rd January 2015 accompanied by Prof. Dilip Shah.
