Objective of the event: The objective of the event was to encourage the participants to undertake a detailed research on the electoral process in India and to create an awareness about the General Elections in India,2024 and discuss various relevant issues in relation to elections in an informal manner.
Brief description of the event: The Department of Political Science organised a one day seminar on Decoding General Elections in India,2024 in room number 129B on 6th April,2024. In the First session eight research papers were presented by teachers and students. The second session consisted of an awareness programme on elections in India. It was conducted by Professor Rahul Yadav and Professor Pratik Bose and it was a very well thought and informative session . The third session was ‘Elections par Adda’ in which students and teachers enthusiastically participated in an informal discussion.
Outcome of the event: The event was very successful as the participants acquired an in-depth knowledge about the General Elections in India. It was appreciated by students and teachers alike.
