Objective of the event: To ensure inclusion and bring everyone together by offering sandwiches prepared by NSS volunteers.
Brief description of the event: The NSS unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College organized a Seva Sandwich Drive on 18th October 2023. The event began early, with students gathering at the Inner Space within the college premises at 6:15 am to prepare sandwiches. By 8:00 am, they were ready for distribution. The drive officially commenced at 8:30 am at the Rowland Road N.B. Welfare Association, where Prof. Gargi, Coordinator Harshit Modi, Kripa Sahal, and other NSS volunteers distributed approximately 750 sandwiches. Following this, two groups of volunteers moved to different locations, including Ballygunge, Bhawanipur, Kalighat, Rashbehari Avenue crossing, and Sambhunath Hospital, distributing an additional 1,350 sandwiches. In total, 55 volunteers prepared around 2,100 sandwiches, which were shared with over 2,000 children, women, and elderly individuals. The initiative succeeded in bringing joy and smiles to those it aimed to help, leaving a lasting impact. The volunteers cherished the day’s experience, fulfilling the drive’s mission to spread kindness and care.
Outcome of the event: 2100 sandwiches were distributed.
In its series of industry visits, the college arranged for a visit to Amrit Exports , a industrial garment manufacturing unit at Madhyamgram , West Bengal on Saturday 26th Sep , 2015. About 35 students were accompanied by their two Professors , Prof Kaushik Chatterjee and Prof. Nilanjana.

The first event on the second day of Umang’14 was Antakshari which was held at the main stage.
