Objective of the event: To inform and instruct the students about the role of museums in complementing classroom education.
Brief description of the event: The Department of History organised a field visit to Netaji Bhawan on September 11, 2025. Students of semester 1 were taken to Netaji Subhas Chandra’s home to inform his role in the freedom struggle. Netaji’s life, his accomplishments and his Great Escape on the intervening night of January 16-17, 1941 were discussed in detail. His role as Congress President and travels across the world to garner support for India’s struggle for liberation was discussed with the students.
Outcome of the event: The students were incredibly engaged through out the visit and learned numerous facets of Netaji and Sisir Bose’s life which was hitherto unknown to them.
On March 11, 2025, a grand tribute was held at the Concept Hall of The Bhawanipur Education Society College from 3:30 P.M., which lasted till 5:30 P.M., to commemorate the life and legacy of the legendary actor, filmmaker, and showman Raj Kapoor.
