The campaign of Swachh Bharat launched by the government of India is aimed at accomplishing various goals and fulfilling the vision and mission of “Clean India” by October 2, 2019 which is the 150th birth anniversary of the great Mahatma Gandhi. Therefore today, on this auspicious day, the NSS volunteers of The Bhawanipur Education Society college tried their hand at bringing the dream come true by organising a Swachh Bharat campaign at the Howrah Railway Station.
The idea was to spread the awareness of cleanliness and sanitation all over the country. Thus, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm our talented volunteers were witnessed implementing a cleanliness drive and also distributing bread among the people. This in a way, was also encouraged by the East Railways Chief due to his presence in this marvellous programme. The BESC-NSS volunteers also made a visit to the Rail Museum for the same.
Therefore, the programme was not just a big success but also a memorable experience. NSS Programme officer, Prof. Divyesh Shah, coordinator-volunteers, Darshdeep Singh Walia organises the event flawlessly. I would also like to thank the BESC-NSS volunteers for their sheer dedication and tireless efforts for helping the culture maintain and raise its name and success.
